Harry Potter and the faulty vanishing cabinets

There's a strange fascination making its way through all the disgusting, but phenomenal costume design of Brundle's transforming human body: The Spiderman-esque movement, the initial sharpening of his mind and the disastrous desire to regain a part of his original body in order to live on. Jeff Goldblum gives a superb performance and David Cronenberg manages to create a great amount of empathy for the entity as its mind vanishes.
