What a disastrous finale to a stretched television series in which a set of panically constructed actions shines a light on corruption, racial treatment by the police, social divide and psychic trauma in New Orleans, but the promising first three episodes get tarnished by the absolutely dumb protagonist Adam while his father and judge Michael Desiato – played by a believable Bryan Cranston – embarks on a nearly unbearable detour to keep him safe. If your anticipated emotions about the protagonist are turned upside down during the last hour, it's a serious indicator for insufficient storywriting.
